The Education Budget is a financial and time investment in your continued development and growth. The purpose of this budget is to provide additional resources for you to develop your work related skills.

The following are examples of what is covered by this budget:

This is an annual benefit, renewable each calendar year, and is available to new employees immediately. Any unused benefit will not roll over into subsequent years. This budget is pro-rated on exit and any excess usage may be reimbursed back to the company. This budget is also pro-rated for employees working at a lower workload.

You should work with your lead, and discuss professional development activities during each employee review and your 1:1’s. Use of this budget requires prior sign off from your lead. It is for each employee to settle the expense themself, and claim back the cost as “education expenses” via the expense process. See here: Payroll and Expenses

You are also granted up to 5 days paid leave to attend courses, events, exams etc. relating to any agreed use of the Education budget, in addition to your PTO. This leave must be signed off by your lead and can be requested via BambooHR under “Education and Conferences”.
