A perk of working for a hosting company, is that you get to host your own personal projects for free!
</aside>
Criteria
- Needs to be a site/app you have created and manage yourself
- Should not require other users to access Lagoon in connection with it - single user group
- Should not be data or bandwidth hungry (i.e. there is a fair usage cost cap)
- Cloud Basic hosting threshold: 300’000 hits, 5GB storage
- 1 prod & 2 dev environments.
- 6 containers per project (the standard CMS bundle)
- And no support
- Standard Availability only
- Limit of 5 projects per person
- No custom certificates
- CDN - point to the amazee.io CDN
Getting set up
- Add the project to the Billing Group on DAVE
Amazee Employee Sites
- Add a modifier with your name, so we know who it belongs to
- Create the project and user with your personal email address and not amazee.io
- So that when you log in to manage your project, you have basic access - your ssh key doesn’t give you the full admin access
- Also means that if/when you leave, you can still access your project
Departure
- If you leave amazee.io, you will need to move the hosting to your own platform within 3 months of departure
- Else move it to a standard paid Cloud Basic account, including support fees (no discounts should apply)
