We believe the best growth and development comes from a continuing feedback loop, and not something that’s discussed annually or bi-annually, and forgotten about for 6 months. Just like an athlete won’t perform at their best by training for 12 hours, twice a year, true development happens through small, consistent sessions over time. The same applies to our growth at work.

That’s why we use a rhythm of weekly/bi-weekly 1:1s, monthly growth check-ins, and bi-annual Alignments which work holistically together.


Weekly / Bi-weekly 1:1s

These are shorter, more frequent check-ins focused on your current work. These sessions help keep things on track, provide frequent task related support, and reduce friction in the day to day, but they’re not meant to replace deeper development conversations.

We encourage every team member to make 1:1s a two way conversation. Team members should have a 1:1 with their set up in Lattice, and can contribute to the 1:1 agenda ahead of time, making sure their talking points are heard and followed up on.

Monthly Growth & Development 1:1s

These monthly sessions are your dedicated space to think beyond tasks and focus on your professional growth. They allow us to break up the big picture goals we often set in Alignments to more manageable bite sized chunks that are much easier for team members to realise, and are usually far clearer in terms of the steps needed to achieve them. They also create a dedicated space away from work tasks, for you and your Lead to really have a deeper discussion about how it’s going, your happiness at work, and what’s next.

These are for:
